Well, God spoke. Not audibly, but physically. In the late afternoon there was a police chase that ended up with a crash and two people dying. That crash created all sorts of major traffic problems. My wife Nancy called from the gymnasium telling me how bad the traffic was on the roads. Lines of cars were inundating small roads to avoid the big accident. Forty-five minutes later I decided to listen to the traffic alert on WBAL. They confirmed what my wife had already said. I prayerfully decided to stay home and not fight the traffic.
The result: my work was done sooner and I got to relax a little. God uses other people and other circumstances to speak to us. He used my wife and WBAL to communicate to me to stay home, though they never specifically told me to do this. Thus, the prayer of the morning was answered. That evening he gave me some extra rest. Beware, God might surprise you how he speaks and through whom he conveys his message. Thus, be alert to his whispers and hints.
